i recognised qwop on seeing it but its not like the name is immediately familiar to me. only time ive heard qwop was when watching a tomb raider speedrun a few months ago and they had an exploit called "qwop-ing", which i guess looks a bit like that qwop game. also if elder scrolls 6 isn't on steam i will rage shit everywhere (don't care if they just have it on xbox for a year though)

Exclusives are probably a much bigger deal for people whose jobs it isn't to have every console and play every game. You know, your audience.

PS Access is already owned by Sony. And have you forgotten about PS Now? They will just have to make a non Streaming version.

Sony's base isn't concerned with game pass. And the ones that are will either get a Xbox Series S or whatever. Especially when they're the type of person who only buys one to two games every 6 months what use is something like Game Pass? Having a huge variety of shit to play is useless when you don't have time. My steam backlog is proof that having a shitload of stuff to play isn't always great.

The only thing MS need to do with this acquisition is whip the hell out of Bethesda when it comes to fixing bugs, but that likely won't happen a) because they've left it too late & will need to rush stuff out or write off another console generation, and b) because everyone knows Bethesda make buggy crap & they think people will give them a pass on it (doubly so if it's included in the Game Pass subscription). I wanna know why they're doing all these acquisitions now instead of at least a year before they launched the console. Everything points to them not wanting to release the Series Whatevers at all last year & having to jump the gun on it; lack of games, weird low level optimisation problems, the state of Halo Infinite & that entire presentation.. I wish somebody would look into that, because all this seems like reactive stuff rather than part of some actual plan.

Playstation game pass pretty much already exists. If you look into Playstation Now which is mostly known as a streaming platform, there are tons of games you can download and play instead of stream (including quite a few big titles such as Injustice 2, Until Dawn, Bloodborne) meaning it basically is just game pass since you can pay a montly fee to download and play a bunch of different games. I don't think Sony are pushing this yet though because they want people to keep buying games full price, but they basically already have an xbox games pass competitor set up, they just need to market it properly (which they'll probably do if game pass starts to pose a real threat to them).

I'm not super well versed in Game Pass et al. Can someone explain the difference between PS Now/Plus and Game Pass? I'd think they're similar, but I know I'm wrong.

I think any non online Elder Scrolls will be exclusive, they'd be mad not to leverage that. I think the non-exclusives will primarily be games that have a heavy multiplayer focus and that need large communities. Though, honestly, I could potentially see the Indiana Jones game going multi-plat if Disney specifically wanted that to be the case when making the deal. Then again, they've pretty Sony do what they like with the Spider-Man game rights so we will see.

Microsoft has said that the two timed exclusives are the last new games for Playstation. They said all new games are not going to any other system.

That Maquette reminds me of Unfinished Swan in the visual design of the storytelling. Very pretty. Also for Game Pass versus Sony: they have PlayStation Now, which they have been overcharging for and underachieving in, which I think is the main reason we haven't seen them adopting the Game Pass angle fully
